Agentforce 1 Field Service: when does the bundle pay off?

Agentforce 1 Field Service at $650 per user and month pays off only in a narrow case: when the company would buy Slack, Tableau Next, Digital Channels and Data Cloud for the same users anyway. Built from single parts, Field Service Plus with the Agentforce, Visual Remote Assistant and Appointment Assistant add-ons costs $430, so the bundle costs $220 more per user and month. The included credits do not close that gap: 1 million Flex Credits per org and year are worth $5,000 at list price, which covers the premium for about two users. For technicians who only need the AI add-on, single licences win clearly.

What is in Agentforce 1 Field Service?

Salesforce sells Field Service today as Field Service and Operations. The Field Service pricing page1 lists Agentforce 1 Field Service at $650 per user and month in October 2026, on an annual contract and for Enterprise Edition. The German page2 shows €650. According to the price list, the bundle contains:

  • everything in Field Service Plus, so Dispatcher, Technician and the right to do case management,
  • unlimited Agentforce use for employees,
  • Appointment Assistant, Visual Remote Assistant, Digital Channels, Slack and Tableau Next,
  • 1 million Flex Credits and 2.5 million Data Cloud credits per org every year.

A second detail: the general Agentforce pricing page3 mentions Agentforce 1 editions “from $550” with 2.5 million Flex Credits per org and year. The Field Service page says 1 million Flex Credits and 2.5 million Data Cloud credits. For the calculation I use the Field Service page and would ask for the exact figures in the order form.

From single parts, the core costs $430

The same pricing page lists the add-ons separately. Per user and month, at list price:

Part List price
Field Service Plus $230
Agentforce for Field Service and Operations $125
Visual Remote Assistant $50
Appointment Assistant $25
Sum $430
Agentforce 1 Field Service $650
Difference $220

Slack, Tableau Next, Digital Channels and the Data Cloud credits are missing from the left side. For these I have no list price from the Field Service page, so they belong in your own quote. The question is simple: would you pay more than $220 per user and month for them anyway?

The Agentforce add-on already includes unmetered use for employees. The Agentforce pricing page says this for the $125 add-ons in general. Unlimited employee use is therefore no reason to buy the bundle.

What are the included credits worth?

Salesforce lists Flex Credits at $500 per 100,0003, and a standard action costs 20 credits, according to the announcement of the pricing model4. One million Flex Credits are therefore worth $5,000 a year at list price, or 50,000 standard actions. If the Scheduling Agent row means a second million, it is $10,000.

The premium is per user, the credits are per org. $220 per user and month are $2,640 per user and year. $5,000 in credits cover the premium for 1.9 users, $10,000 for 3.8 users. From the fifth user on, the credits alone never justify the bundle. How to estimate credits per process in detail is covered in Flex Credits: estimating Agentforce cost per action.

Worked example: 50 users and a booking agent

All numbers are assumptions. A manufacturer of compressors has 50 Field Service users, 40 technicians and 10 people in dispatch and hotline. A Scheduling Agent books 1,500 maintenance visits a month with customers. I assume 5 actions per booking: identify the customer, find the asset, look for slots, book, confirm. That is 100 credits per booking.

Credit need. 1,500 bookings times 100 credits are 150,000 credits a month, 1.8 million a year. At list price that is $9,000 a year.

Option A: everyone on Agentforce 1 Field Service. 50 times $650 is $32,500 a month, $390,000 a year. The included credits cover 1 million, or all 1.8 million if the Scheduling Agent row means a second million.

Option B: everyone on parts. 50 times $430 is $21,500 a month, $258,000 a year. Plus 1.8 million credits for $9,000. Total $267,000. The bundle costs at least $123,000 more a year.

Option C: by role. Technicians get Technician, the Agentforce add-on and Appointment Assistant: $325 per month. Dispatch and hotline get Field Service Plus, the add-on and Visual Remote Assistant: $405. That is $13,000 plus $4,050, so $17,050 a month or $204,600 a year, plus $9,000 in credits. The bundle costs at least $176,400 more a year than this mix.

So the bundle pays off in this example only if Slack, Tableau Next, Digital Channels and Data Cloud for 50 users would otherwise cost more than $123,000 a year. Whether Salesforce lets you mix the bundle with single licences in one contract is a question for your account team; for a role-based mix like option C, I would ask before the first quote.

When does the bundle pay off, and when do single add-ons win?

The bundle fits when

  • Slack and Tableau Next are already planned for the service organisation and would be bought separately
  • Data Cloud is needed for the use case, for example to ground agents on manuals and service history
  • the user group is small and the customer-facing agents use up the included credits
  • the users need Field Service Plus anyway, because they work cases and dispatch

Single add-ons win when

  • most users are technicians who need Technician plus the $125 add-on
  • the company already has Slack or a reporting tool
  • customer-facing agents are still a pilot and the credit need is unknown

A third route sits outside both lists: an agreement with a fixed fee for Agentforce, Data 360 and MuleSoft. When that is worth it is covered in Salesforce AELA vs Flex Credits. Which agents for customers, dispatchers and technicians are ready today is covered in AI agents in Field Service: what works today?.

Write down the AI features per role and compare three columns

Write down per role which AI functions are really used in the first year, and estimate the customer-facing actions per month. Then compare three columns: bundle, parts, and parts by role. The credit side is explained in the AI masterclass chapter on costs and tokens, the licence matrix by role in Salesforce Field Service licences: who needs which?, and the overall business case in chapter 1 of the Field Service masterclass.
